Faisalabad is the most popular city of Pakistan and the second largest city of province Punjab with the large hub of business. The total population of Fasilabad in 2019 was3,385,000 a 2.23% increase from 2018.1300km is the total area of Faisalabad district. Faisalabad lies in the rolling flat plains of northeast Punjab, at 186 meters and (610 ft) above sea level. Faisalabad is also called the Manchester of Pakistan. The reason behind the name for its textile city of Pakistan and all the industries here related to textiles and the same is Manchester UK.  There is 6 district of Faisalabad. the number of union councils of Faisalabad is 188. The old name of Faisalabad is Lyallpur the government change the name Lyallpur to Faisalabad in 1977 after the Saudi Arabia’s late king  Faisal come to Pakistan for commemorating deep friendship that exists between the two great Islamic countries of the world. The climate of Faisalabad is very hot in summer the average temperature in June is 35⁰c to 40⁰c the summer is stated in April and until October.in January average temperature is 19⁰c to 4.2⁰c. May and June are the very hottest month in summer. While in July, August, September, are normal.
